Another one bites the dust… Today’s task, another mature Ash tree fallen victim to Ash Die Back. We had initially discussed with our client to leave a habitat pole. To our surprise there where already a bunch of beautiful honey bees hibernating in the stem of the tree so we ended up leaving a slightly taller Habitat pole.
Our client was reluctant to the see tree go, but had been instructed by the council to remove the tree. Given that it was over a busy road and and was already in a severe state of decline it was the most sensible option. And leaving a habitat pole like this is still incredibly safe and acceptable form of tree removal it just means the tree can keep on giving for that little bit longer plus who doesn’t love saving Bees?
See our before and after images of the tree removal below.
